Project Components
• Repairs to asphalt roads
• Redesign pier parking lot
• Design stormwater features
Project Overview
The scope of the project was to make repairs to the dilapidated asphalt roads, redesign the pier parking lot, and design stormwater features.
The repair of the asphalt consisted of undercutting areas where the sub-base was failing and the overlying portions that were in acceptable shape. The asphalt, stormwater controls, standing curb, and the turning radius of the pier parking lot no longer functioned as intended. We were able to fill the cracks and seal coat some of the asphalt.
The project was performed in 4 phases with a total cost of approximately $900,000.
project challenges
The asphalt, stormwater controls, standing curb, and the turning radius of the pier parking lot no longer functioned as intended.
success highlights
We were able to fill the cracks and seal coat some of the asphalt to help minimize the total cost of the project. The parking lot was redesigned to be more functional and accommodated the current needs.
