Project Components
• Reroofing a complex roof structure
Project Overview
The Temple contained several roofs with the focal point of this building is a 60' tall circular spire with lower tiered roofs. The roofs were low sloped EPDM or a metal roof. The metal panels were soldered together not allowing for any movement. The soldered joints were cut loose, and a PVC membrane was used to bridge the dome-to-wall expansion joint. A PVC roofing system was also used on the dome with PVC ribs heat-welded onto the surface to simulate a sectional standing seam metal roofing system.
The final cost of the project was $1,320.000.
